Session and Other Event Proposals
You have the option to submit your session proposal now that registration is open to members.
Participants will have the following opportunities to lead different styles of professional learning.
-
Professional Learning Session Facilitators - These sessions will allow ELASCD members to showcase projects, strategies, concepts, and research in areas that illustrate their passions in the educational field. These prepared sessions will be 50 minutes in length. Please refer to the schedule above to see the session times offered. Please fill in the proposal form to submit your proposal.
-
Unconference Session Leaders - During unconference sessions, ELASCD members can make themselves available for small group discussions on topics of their expertise. Members interested in volunteering as unconference discussion leaders will submit an area of expertise they will be willing to discuss during this time. Participants will be provided a master list of experts before the conference to make a plan of whom they’d like to see. These are not planned presentations, but rather opportunities to offer advice, talk out ideas, or provide some mentoring and coaching. There is no limit to the number of participants who can be discussion leaders. ***NOTE: No proposals are required.
Goodie Exchange
One of the new ELASCD Alumni Affiliate traditions we are piloting at this event is an exchanging of mementos or souvenirs, something that reflects a unique aspect of each participant’s school or state, or from your business. This is a voluntary activity and is not a required part of the event. If you choose to participate, please bring with you a simple, inexpensive item (a quantity of up to 50) to share. There will be a short time on Sunday morning to exchange the goodies. Some items you could consider bringing: candy, key chains, lapel pins, book marks, stickers to name a few.
Continuing Education Certificate
ELASCD will provide Continuing Education certificates for 10 hours of professional learning to each attendee. It is up to each attendee to check with their LEA, school, or organization to determine whether their certificates will be accepted toward maintaining their licenses.
